What Makes a Bad or Good Traffic Exchange? - Part IV
Today I thought I would pass on some numbers of a good traffic exchange. That’s what we all want is a traffic exchange with active surfers looking at our splash pages.
Have you ever wondered about the activity of a traffic exchange? What are the number of surfers actually surfing in a Good traffic exchange? Ever wonder if an exchange owner will give you the numbers?
Well one of the truly excellent traffic exchange owners gave his record numbers….Paul Kinder, Traffic Splash.
Paul gathers his stats every Tuesday. Today he released the results for Traffic Splash and the numbers are impressive.
Traffic Splash surfers smashed the daily record for people surfing 100 pages in a day - record was 661 and is now 735.
Surfers smashed the weekly average for number of people surfing 100 pages in a day - record was 572 and now 625.
Surfers smashed the weekly average for number of url’s receiving hits in a day - record was 3,162 and now 3,243.
Traffic Splash members smashed the record for number of active surfers in a week - was 3,844 and now 3,893.
Only a handful of f (non-PTC) traffic exchanges in the world that can compete with these numbers.
I contribute Paul’s activity success to communication, communication and communication. Nearly every email he sends has something to do with activity.
Folks, Traffic Splash is an excellent traffic exchange and I certainly want all my squeeze pages flowing to these active members.
I wonder when other traffic exchange owners will release their numbers? Traffic exchange owners are encouraged to add a comment giving us their numbers.

Very well said, dear Tony. I appreciate it and thank you for this article. I’m not an owner, so i can speak only on my behalf as a humble surfer. Maybe in the future the owners will have the courage to communicate real stats of their traffic exchanges. Many of them are proud with the number of members (many of them are just “dead” members), but how of them are active, how of them are upgraded members, how many URLs are seen and by how many members. I know only one owner which is Dan Moses who display clearly the number of the subscribed members and active members in ProTrafficShop.
As regard Traffic Splash, now for me is number one. My special congrats to Paul Kinder and to the whole stuff of this traffic exchange.
My friendly regards,

Thank you
Traffic-Splash is totally a team effort, Tim, Mark, Jackie, Deeds, Jamison and above all else the members are what make Traffic-Splash all it is.
My foot is staying hard on the pedal and I can’t wait to see how big those numbers get
Happy Splashing!

Hi Tony
Interesting article in relation to Traffic Splash. I for one use Paul’s exchange as my number 1 non PPC Traffic generation tool.
In fact I was so impressed I sent a testimonial to Paul who has kindly placed it on his home page.
Long live the Manual Traffic Exchange Owners who run their business properly.
Best Wishes

Hey Tony,
I love stats. I like to have my numbers out in the open. After all, why not? If they numbers are down.. well everyone seeing them is motivation enough to encourage me to get them up.
I didn’t have any record numbers on surfing, but it was definitely above average.
Though I can tell everyone that surfing surpassed 50,000 pages on regular occasions throughout the fortnight, and anywhere between 400 and 700 unique members were logging in every day.
Great job, Paul!
May 16th, 2008 at 1:31 pmAlot of people are raving about how good Traffic Splash is and how marvelous the traffic is moving there and how many people are logging in there every day. Sounds great right?
Then why there are so many people still promoting substandard exchanges. If you ask me there is absolutely no need to join 20-30 or more traffic exchange, that is Insane folks !!
If everybody do their part and recommends a handful of really good exchanges like Startxchange, Trafficsplash or even Savvyclicks, it would benefit everybody not just for quality traffic but financially too. Some owners re-invest some of their profits to make their exchange even better.
Good job Tony.
