What does it take to Get Started?
What do you absolutely need to build your business on the internet. It is the most difficult question one has to ask themselves as one starts down the road of working on the internet.
At some point in time, I recommend sooner than later these are the essentials.
Domain: You need a domain. I recommend using your name. Why? Any program you may promote or even build may not be around forever, but you name is permanent. Internet graveyard of programs is full of programs that would never fail. Also, wouldn’t you like to be able to send our urls like this one in your emails

Hosting: The next step is a hosting company for your new domain. I recommend ZootHost. Why? I know Jon Atwood and have met him offline. Also, I know where he hangs out online and I know where he lives. 
He has given me excellent customer support and I trust him.
Squeeze Pages: Yes, like it or not the money is in the list. So you need a way to get people to subscribe to your list – squeeze pages. I use two services to make my squeeze pages. InstantSqueezePageGenerator and SplashPageMaker. Both are easy to use and make outstanding squeeze pages.
Autoresponder: Now that you have a domain, hosting, and a way to make squeeze pages. Now you need a way to communicate with your subscribers – an autoresponder. I have used the Cadillac of autoresponders – AWeber – since 2000. They have a great delivery rate and are staffed to deal with ISP all over the net.
Traffic: Now all you need is traffic to your squeeze pages. Traffic exchanges are an excellent means of getting traffic to your site – and they DO WORK! Here is an excellent list to get you started – Top Ten Traffic Exchanges as ranked by surfers.
If I have the domasin , hosting, squeeze/splash pages & autoresponder, but not my own website, how do I build my list?

Good question. First, you can build your list…bribe people- by giving them free reports/ebooks. There a lot of ebooks/reports out there that you can rebrand with your own affiliate links. Some programs even give you an email series that you can tweak into your own words for your email series that goes into your responder. Affiliate Funnel is a good example of a program that gives you a guide to give away and an email series for you to use.
Once you get people on your list, you continue to give them good info, maybe free reports/ebooks, etc. You can write articles on a particular program put them in an email to your list and they may join the program under jyou.
All of this without a website of your own!
